Professionally...

Claire believes every person carries a story worth understanding. She approaches each client with curiosity, compassion, and the belief that our experiences shape the ways we learn to survive, connect, and grow.

Before joining The Brooke Center, Claire worked in a Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) setting, supporting adolescents and adults navigating crisis, trauma, suicidality, substance use, and other high-acuity mental health concerns. These experiences strengthened her confidence in helping clients through life's most difficult seasons while reinforcing her belief in each person's resilience and capacity for healing.

Claire has received specialized training in trauma-informed care, with a particular focus on survivors of sexual assault, childhood abuse, and substance use. She enjoys working with teens and young adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and relationship challenges. Claire also values partnering with parents as they support their teen's healing and growth throughout the counseling process.

Her approach is person-centered and trauma-informed, drawing from attachment theory and evidence-based interventions. She also enjoys incorporating expressive therapies, including art and movement, to help clients process emotions and experience healing in ways that extend beyond words.

Personally...

Claire's desire to become a counselor began long before graduate school. As a teenager, she experienced firsthand how life's challenges can shape the way we see ourselves and the world around us. Today, she considers it one of life's greatest privileges to walk alongside others as they navigate their own stories.

Originally from South Carolina, Claire spent most of her life in the Southeast before moving to Texas, where she met her fiancé and now calls home. Outside the therapy office, you'll likely find her spending time with her rescue pittie, Goose, practicing hot yoga, or traveling back to South Carolina to visit family.
